Summary:

The Clinical Talent Acquisition & Education Advisor will work collaboratively as to coordinate efforts between Talent Acquisition and Clinical Education to align both departments in facilitating relationships within the nursing community through local contacts, association memberships, conferences, educational institutions, social media, nursing students, and active associates. The advisor will develop a structure for clinical recruitment efforts that are occurring internally and externally at Catholic Health, in full collaboration and partnership between the two departments.

The Clinical Talent Acquisition & Education Advisor will recruit, offer, and onboard the clinical nursing interns as well as assist the Talent Advisors with other clinical requisitions as needed. The advisor will participate in nursing advisory boards to align the educational opportunities Catholic Health is developing with curriculum that is being established within the educational institutions. The advisor will be aware of all the clinical programs Catholic Health has to offer such as rotations, APUs, internships, and more as well as know the students enrolled in those programs. The advisor will work with clinical education and site leadership to actively engage and collaborate in finding nursing student opportunities during the clinical rotations (APUs and regular school clinicals) and have alignment with clinical education to support site onboarding of the clinical rotations (APU and school clinical rotations).

Essential to this role, the advisor will remain proficient in the recruitment initiatives and opportunities available within Catholic Health to those entering a clinical position, as well as all clinical education events, and programs. The advisor will work with site leadership and the Talent Acquisition team to promote those internal associates (NA, ITA, Dietary, etc...) moving into a RN or LPN role. The advisor coordinates, develops, and designs opportunities for our associates to advance their education through clinical programs offered in the community and internally. The Advisor will participate in the site and system retention committees and communicate different strategies to retain our clinical staff. The Clinical Talent Acquisition & Education Advisor will keep current with industry trends, best practices in nursing education/recruitment, and changes in nursing regulations to ensure compliance.

Responsibilities:

EDUCATION

  • Degree in Nursing

  • RN with current NYS license

  • Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources or Business preferred

  • Master's degree in Nursing Education or a related field (preferred) PHR certification a plus

EXPERIENCE

  • Minimum of five (5) years clinical recruitment experience required

  • Clinical Expertise and experience as a nurse educator

  • Leadership/Training experience required

KNOWLEDGE, SKILL AND ABILITY

  • Excellent knowledge of NYS and Federal employment law and regulations

  • Solid PC skills utilizing Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint software applications

  • Excellent written and verbal interpersonal communication skills

  • Strong knowledge of nursing qualifications, credentials, and licensure requirements

  • Strong track record of building effective relationships to successfully partner with HR colleagues, internal clients and outside vendors to achieve desired business results

  • Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple recruitment processes and educational programs simultaneously

  • Familiarity with healthcare industry trends and challenges in nursing recruitment and education

  • Demonstrated ability to use technology, data and analytics to effectively influence action and drive business results
