M&T Bank 2025 Executive Associate Program - Customer Experience - Fraud in Buffalo, New York
Overview:
The Executive Associate Program is designed for 2nd year MBA students who seek to accelerate their career within M&T Bank. Program hires will undergo an immersive leadership experience designed to develop leadership competencies and strategic capabilities. Throughout the first year, the incoming cohort will be introduced to Program alumni, bank wide leadership, and collaborate with peers to drive change to support the vision and goals of the Bank.
This role within the Executive Associate Program reports to the Customer Experience - Fraud department. This team is dedicated to streamlining and enhancing processes, procedures and operating structures to improve customer experience associated with fraud related activities. You'll work cross functionally across different business lines at the Bank supporting ongoing reporting and project initiatives.
Primary Responsibilities:
Lead multi-disciplinary teams through large-scale transformational change initiatives, or strategically important short-term engagements, that deliver on identified business outcomes
Demonstrate in-depth experience in Transformation Delivery including Program/Project Management, Scope Definition, Process Re-engineering, Workshop Facilitation, Organizational Change Management, Performance Measurement, and Customer Experience.
Responsible for driving teams in the implementation of numerous governance frameworks aimed at achieving alignment across the bank and its strategy.
Provide transparency in reporting and presentations to senior leadership of progress of initiatives
Develop and tailor communications content and artifacts used across various levels in the organization on complex business initiatives with high attention to detail and quality.
Provide execution certainty by setting pace and driving accountability working alongside senior leaders to drive decisions
Build relationships and participate in engagement management with key stakeholders and encourage collaboration to support an environment of information sharing to effectively deliver outcomes
Ensure follow up on all critical items and drive prioritization and accountability through documentation.
Learn and support understanding of the organization by building credibility with teams, leveraging business acumen and curiosity.
Proactively leverage multiple Transformation Delivery Tools to ensure all action items, risks, decisions, and issues are identified, captured and escalated.
Develop and rely upon relationships to support understanding of the organization to stay connected to changes going on in the bank.
Participate in working groups and seeks diverse views to develop strategic recommendations and encourage innovation.
Champion new transformation delivery tools and techniques and use them to support innovation, development and facilitate discussion.
Encourage a culture of how to challenge status quo by consistently pushing for innovation and improvement and recommends solutions for adoption across the organization.
Apply resourcing approaches and support prioritization efforts to ensure the best resources are allocated effectively.
Support business in defining outcomes and key measures of success for transformation initiatives.
Understand and adhere to the Company’s risk and regulatory standards, policies and controls in accordance with the Company’s Risk Appetite. Identify risk-related issues needing escalation to management.
Promote an environment that supports diversity and reflects the M&T Bank brand.
Maintain M&T internal control standards, including timely implementation of internal and external audit points together with any issues raised by external regulators as applicable.
Perform other related assignments as requested by management.
Scope of Responsibilities:
Perform project/management related assignments in field of expertise within the Executive Associate Program.

Education and Experience Required:
Completed MBA from an accredited business school.
Minimum two years professional, full time work experience.
Demonstrated leadership potential, as evidenced through previous work experience, extracurricular activities, or community involvement
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with individuals at all levels of the organization
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think strategically and critically analyze complex business challenges
Strong project management skills and the ability to handle multiple priorities and deadlines
Work visa sponsorship not offered for this role
Education and Experience Preferred:
Relevant financial services industry experience
Minimum of 4 years’ project, program or portfolio management experience, specifically with large-scale transformation projects
Prior experience leading organizational change
PMP, Agile, Certified BA and/or ScrumMaster Certification
Prior management consulting or comparable client service experience
M&T Bank is committed to fair, competitive, and market-informed pay for our employees. The pay range for this position is $100,000 - $171,000. The successful candidate’s particular combination of knowledge, skills, and experience will inform their specific compensation. The range listed above encompasses all geographic locations. The pay rate specific to your location will fall within this range and is available from your recruiter.
