Position Summary
As a Release and Deployment Coordinator you will assist in the Release Management lifecycle which includes scheduling, coordinating and the management of releases for the Mail and Dispensing applications across various portfolios. Where necessary you will provides tools and services to help the teams manage and deploy releases into production. You will work collaboratively with all participants in software development projects as well as supporting developers and testers as they implement code through the various environments. Assist in managing and improving processes associated with continuously integrating and deploying software.
The responsibilities also include working closely with the IT release managers from different portfolios and centralizing the view of all releases. Help coordinate the effort of defining the IT strategic direction for release management to ensure those processes are included. Assist in managing projects and interdependencies to evaluate the integrity of the release.
Role and Responsibilities:
Forward Plan the release windows and cycles across a portfolio
Manage risks and resolves issues that affect release scope, schedule and quality
Measure and monitor progress to ensure application releases are delivered on time
Manage relationships and coordinate work between different teams at different locations
Conduct Release Readiness reviews, Milestone Reviews, and Business Go/No-Go reviews
Host weekly change review meetings with leadership and operations
Ensure Deployment and Implementation Plans are created
Maintain Weekly Release Shakeout Report
Maintain Dev Shakeout Schedule
Assist in running weekly minor release calls as well as bi-monthly major releases
Communicate release details and schedules to the Business as required
Negotiate, plan, and assist in all release activities
Work with development team to understand impacts of branches and code merges
Maintains the release schedule for all core services and ensure alignment across key partners and vendors
Participate in CAB and Change Champion meetings to ensure changes are discussed and approved
Co-ordinate the Go-Live activities including the execution of the deployment Plans and checklists.
Maintain release repository and manage key information such as build and release procedures, dependencies, and notification lists
Conduct analysis to identify trends, patterns, and areas for improvement in the release process
Provide recommendations for process optimization and performance improvement based on the analysis findings
Assist and coordinate in Deep Dives meetings with leadership
Required Qualifications
1+ years of previous release and/or project management experience
1+ years of IT or related experience
Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail
Ability and willingness to work in a fast-paced and demanding environment
Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
Proficient in all Microsoft office suite tools
Prioritize and manage multiple tasks
Preferred Qualifications
Software development experience
PMP Certification
Education
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
Pay Range
The typical pay range for this role is:
$43,700.00 - $107,200.00
This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.
