Job Title: CNC Swiss Operator
Job Description
The CNC (Computer Numerical Control) Swiss Operator will be responsible for operating and maintaining CNC Star Swiss lathes to produce high-quality parts according to blueprint specifications. This position requires a strong attention to detail, ability to read and interpret drawings, understanding of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing), with a commitment to safety and precision in a manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities
Operate CNC Swiss Machines with Live Tooling capabilities with high volume quantities
Inspect parts using precision measuring tools (e.g., Micrometers, Pin gages, Bore gages, Plug gages, Comparators)
Manual deburr parts during the machining process as required
Make offsets to tooling under Fanuc controls
Identify and resolve machining issues such as tool wear to maintain the customer required dimensions
Accurately record production data, including quantities and quality inspections
Follow all safety protocols and ensure the workspace is cleaned and organized
Essential Skills
Ability to read and interpret blueprints
Understanding of GD&T
Familiarity with CNC Swiss machines and measuring equipment
Strong focus on accuracy and quality
Strong communication skills
Ability to hold tolerances as tight as +/-.0002
Must be able to operate up to 2 machines at a time
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Experience operating Swiss CNC machines

Work Environment
Our facility is air-conditioned, well-lit, temperature controlled, and very clean, housing 60-70 CNC machines. The work shift is Monday to Friday from 6 am to 2:30 pm, with overtime available.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Buffalo Grove, Illinois.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $30.00/hr.
