Chevron Corporation Data Architect in Buenos Aires, Argentina

Enable business opportunities through data availability and accessibility. Perform and/or coordinate end-to-end data lifecycle management activities from source to analytics, including movement, storage, modeling, enhancement, integration, quality, and security of data throughout the enterprise. Focus on data reusability, business outcome and cost efficiency.

The Chevron Business Support Center (BASSC) located in Buenos Aires (Puerto Madero), Argentina, is accepting online applications for the position Data Architect . Successful candidates will join the Data Engineering team which is part of a successful multifunction service center with a workforce of more than 1200 employees delivering business services and solutions across the globe.

A data Architect enable business opportunities through data availability and accessibility. Perform and/or coordinate end-to-end data lifecycle management activities from source to analytics, including movement, storage, modeling, enhancement, integration, quality, and security of data throughout the enterprise. In addition, the Data Architect focus on data reusability, business outcome and cost efficiency.

Responsibilities for this position may include but are not limited to:

  • Partnering with business leaders to recognize business opportunities.

  • Mapping data sources.​

  • Defining and designing interfaces and data movement.

  • Defining and designing canonical data views

  • Defining and designing integrative views of data.

  • Defining standards and guardrails focusing on data reusability, business outcome and cost efficiency.

  • Communicating the data architecture and partnering with other architects, software engineers, data scientists to optimize the analytics solutions and data foundation for the enterprise.

    Required Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of one or more business domains (Finance, Asset Management, Material Management, Upstream Business)

  • Knowledge of Design/Modeling tools

  • Knowledge of Data Modeling Patterns and Designs

  • Knowledge of Azure Data Lake and Azure SQL storage platforms

  • Awareness of Azure Synapse, Azure Databricks

  • Awareness of Integration tools within Azure (Azure Data Factory (ADF), Azure Data Brick, Python, Spark SQL)

    Preferred Qualifications:

  • Upstream domain knowledge, experience of working with and navigating through Digital Platform for delivery.
