Working in the Global Embedded Analytics team within the Global Digital Team (GDT), we have a role for a Senior Insights Analyst to join our dynamic, cross-functional team to play a strategic role within eCommerce Performance and Media Content analytics.

This is a meticulous, analytics based, cross-functional, cross-market role that requires a unique combination of digital experience, business and financial foresight, analytics experience and communication skills. Experience working in a fast-paced, highly matrixed environment is also a must — we need a self-starter with a consistent track record of delivering results.

Key responsibilities:

E-commerce Governance and Performance

Within the eCommerce Governance and Performance team, you will lead data gathering, reporting and insight generation for Global eCommerce Performance at Diageo. You will work very closely with the global eCommerce team, regions and digital market teams on digital objectives, helping them define improvement areas and driving key investment decisions.

You will also work with a cross-functional team to implement the global Digital Commerce performance management framework and reporting approach, leading multiple teams and projects to build and accelerate our digital journey through a solid and robust foundation of data and KPIs.

A- E-commerce Performance Data & Insights:

1.Quarterly NSV Performance data gathering and reporting:

  • Collaborate with B2C and D2C teams across markets to collect quarterly Net Sales Value (NSV) data.

  • Aggregate market data to create a comprehensive global view of NSV performance.

  • Lead, prepare and present quarterly performance insights updates to the eCommerce Globallu distributed team, creating engaging presentations and providing valuable insights.

  • Prepare and deliver quarterly updates on Growth, highlighting eNSV progress and key achievements for CMO’s IBOs.

  1. Data Analyst Oversight:
  • Lead Business Analyst responsible for collating quarterly data inputs from markets, addressing data gaps, and understanding methodology differences.

  • Supervise the maintenance and development of the eNSV dashboard for wider accessibility within the Global team.

  1. Ad-hoc performance reporting and insights generation

Support regional and market performance updates on an ad hoc basis for Roadshows, SteerCos, LT presentations, etc

  1. AOP Definition:

Gather data to define Annual Operating Plan (AOP), working closely with markets to understand detailed plans and aggregating them for a global perspective.

B. E-commerce Data Quality / Universe Expansion:

  1. E-commerce Universe Data Coverage:
  • Own and expand e-commerce global universe data coverage, collaborating with markets to improve the breadth and depth of data available.

  • Work with the Data & Technology (D&T) team to ensure timely updates and harmonization

  • Drive data coverage expansion for NSV, RSV, and MS % in key markets, collaborating cross-functionally with the Data & Technology team and local markets.

  1. Vendor Landscape Understanding:
  • Stay informed about the data vendor landscape, identifying solutions to improve data coverage and quality.

  • Constantly seek opportunities to enhance our data measurement capabilities

C. E-commerce Performance Tracking and Evaluation Transformation:

Lead a segment of the North Star eCommerce project, conducting data gap analysis to find opportunities and gaps in NSV and RSV for key eCommerce markets and working with cross functional teams to close said gaps

Media/Content Effectiveness Special Projects

Within the Media and Content Effectiveness side of the role, you will design and support the analytics and strategic data implementation on special and adhoc projects that are key to achieving Diageo’s Conscious Create global goals. Working with cross-functional teams with Media, Content, Planning D&T colleagues and preferred agency partners, you will work together to answer key questions to improve Diageo’s media utilisation.

a. Lead Conscious Build Acceleration Program (CCAP) Workstream 1 - Content Shelf Life):

  • Working in a cross-functional global team, develop a 'Fit for Diageo' measurement framework to define whether “New creative is needed” to achieve our 60 | 35 |15 goal

  • Lead partner agencies on framework development from an analytics stand-point and assess the best approach to answering the question of "Do we need new creative?".

  • Stress test with and socialise to Global Digital Team, Global Brand Teams and Local marketing teams

b. Support in special embedded analytics, marketing efficiency projects at an ad hoc basis

Working with global cross-functional teams in the GDT, support in projects that require analytics and insight generation support

Required:

  • 8y+ of analytics, ideally in digital and e-commerce.

  • Strong analytical skills with shown capability for data robustness and logical rigor.

  • Proven ability to communicate with clarity and work closely with global and local digital teams, as well as other cross functional teams.

  • Track record of leading multiple priorities, collaborators and juggling multiple projects, cultural contexts, within fast paced, ambiguous, entrepreneurial, and matrixed organization.

  • A track record of delivering consistent strong performance coupled with ability to take initiative.

  • Strong written and verbal communication and presentation skills.

  • Proactive in identifying potential issues, raising them, and suggesting solutions.

Preferred:

  • Knowledge, love and curiosity for media and the impact it can have on the business and Digital Commerce

  • Confirmed critical thinking ability

  • Ability to authoritatively present plans and ideas, often to a senior audience

  • Self-starter who is comfortable with a rapidly-changing environment

  • Energetic, relentless mindset to succeed, great teammate

  • Used to working with a variety of stakeholders and establishing relationships

  • Deal with a large volume of requests and know how to prioritize workload
