Safety first! You will provide primary care services to the site and co-ordinate and manage the site health program, including safety inspections, ergonomics training and ergonomics assessments, to drive a reduction in work and non work related injuries. You will as well undertake management of testing programs required by local legislation
How you will contribute
You will:
Be responsible for coordinating and overseeing implementation of all Health & Safety programs and processes.
Participate in investigations to facilitate closure of identified non conformances.
Provide Health & Safety expertise for the plant for all new projects and change management activities.
Follow up on non conformances and develops the systems to resolve them based on root cause analysis.
Understand relevant technical requirements in Health & Safety and ensures compliance with regulatory requirements, and company policies.
Ensure appropriate risk assessments are conducted and follow ups implemented to minimize or eliminate accidents, asset losses that might cause harm to one of the company’s employees, contractors, visitors.
Review performance in Health & Safety and facilitates implementation corrective and preventative actions where required · Ensures the facility standards are in compliance with both Company and governmental/community regulations
Ensure training and coaching are taking place to drive a safety perfect culture and to ensure Health & Safety standards and awareness are well understood throughout the plant organization
Provide technical and engineering support on machine safety needs of the plant. Handle implementation and compliance with industrial, equipment protection, machine guarding and other health and safety programs.
Conduct workplace surveys, safety audits, safety assessment, accident investigations;
Be responsible for control of contractors by providing trainings and inductions, collect documents and certificates for qualification, issuing PTW, conduct inspections at working place.
Provide safety consultation and information to support all company safety efforts;
Ensure the IL6S works are carried out efficiently in Plant
What you will bring
A desire to drive your future and accelerate your career and the following experience and knowledge:
Relevant qualifications in the area of Occupational Health or claims management.
Diploma or Degree qualifications in OHS/Claims & Injury Management, Workplace Ergonomics, Rehabilitation or related discipline
Relevant experience in OHS (Occupational Safety and Health)
Strong experience in an Injury Management & Rehabilitation role, ideally within a manufacturing environment
Knowledge of Workers Compensation and Injury Management legislative requirements
Relevant engineering background, with competency in MG& LOTO; PSM
Local language and English language knowledge are mandatory
