Job Description
The mechanic will conduct detailed inspections of pre-sale and post-sale vehicles, assessing various components such as transmission, windshield damage, structural damage, vehicle body defects, fluid levels, tire tread, steering suspension, and drive train systems. The role involves documenting findings using diagnostic devices and reporting through the internal computer system to generate customer reports.
Responsibilities
Inspect pre-sale and post-sale vehicles thoroughly.
Perform inspections according to the inspection sheet, including transmission, windshield damage, structural damage, vehicle body defects, fluid levels, tire tread, steering suspension, and more.
Document and report all findings via the internal computer system to generate reports for customers.
Inspect drive train systems.
Use diagnostic devices to understand and document diagnostic codes.
Inspect 100-125 vehicles per week.
Essential Skills
5+ years of vehicle inspection experience.
Proficiency in using a computer for documentation and reporting.
Understanding of vehicle engines, drive trains, and transmissions.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience in automotive repair and inspection reporting.
Knowledge of vehicle diagnostics and transmission.

Work Environment
The position offers a 1st shift schedule from 8 AM to 5 PM, with early departures on Fridays depending on workload. The facility focuses solely on inspection, detailing, and reporting for customers, without performing vehicle repairs. The work environment consists of visual inspection, physical inspection, and reporting departments.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $32.00 - $32.00/hr.
