SUMMARY: The Receiving Checker is responsible for ensuring that all items are received in compliance with the necessary quality, checking temperature, weighing and counting the products. Completing all documents required and a focus on continuous process improvement. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS, RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES: * Print the purchase orders. * Inspect vehicle where items arrived * Review the purchase order’s information and items received and confirm that they are the same and correct. * Received items temperature, quality, quantity and shelf-life verification. * Report verbally and in writing all anomalies present in the items received. * Rejecting, record and report damaged or poor-quality items. * Fill out the paperwork and regulatory papers that are needed. * Enforce items safety and sanitation policies received ADDITIONAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES * Good verbal and written communication skills – knowledge of Spanish (Preferred) * Must be organized and attentive to details * Must be Self-motivated, have a strong sense of urgency and a bias for action * Must be flexible in challenging and complex work environment while firmly maintaining compliance and upholding standards * Perform all other duties as assigned Pay rate: $17.00/hour REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND COMPETENCIES: Education: * High School Diploma or equivalent required * Some college preferred Computer Skills: * Must have a working knowledge of Internet software usage, order processing systems, inventory software and word processing software Other Qualifications, Experience and Competencies: * Must be able interpret documents such as operating and maintenance instructions, safety rules, and procedure manuals * Ability to calculate mathematical values * Must be knowledgeable in warehousing procedures * Ability to give attention to detail is a must PHYSICAL DEMANDS OF THE JOB: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
