CAMBA Refugee Resource and Partnership Manager, Workforce Development and Refugee Services Programs in Brooklyn, New York

CAMBA’s comprehensive Workforce Development and Refugee Services programs annually provide over 3,800 low income community members with employment, education, training, benefits access, and financial counseling services. CAMBA specializes in assisting those with special barriers to employment including low skilled workers, long-term unemployed, immigrants and refugees, highly skilled immigrant professionals, limited English speakers, formerly incarcerated, individuals in imminent danger of homelessness and trauma survivors. These programs are performance-based, and success is measured by meeting enrollment, employment placement, training, and retention and case management goals. The Refugee Services Programs provide resettlement and cultural adjustment support, job training, placement and transitional support services to refugees and asylees during their 60 months of eligibility in the United States to help with any impediments to employment and self-sufficiency

Position: Refugee Resource and Partnership Manager

Reports To: Program Director      

Location: 2244 Church Avenue, Brooklyn, NY 11226

What The Refugee Resource and Partnership Manager Does:

  • Oversee CAMBA’s Reception and Placement program, ensuring program requirements are met through high-quality, culturally appropriate service provision.

  • Maintain communication with the funder, keep aware of all related contractual obligations, and ensure all core services are provided, thoroughly documented and accurately reported to the funder within allocated timeframes.

  • Continuously monitor, evaluate services, and recommend programmatic improvements to increase efficiencies and ensure services are aligned with client needs.

  • Develop impactful partnerships with businesses that offer innovative outlets to deploy philanthropic solutions that support the department’s needs.

  • Garner monetary and in-kind donations from corporations, foundations, philanthropists, faith and member-based organizations to support refugee families.

  • Support the development of a volunteer network that inspires, drives awareness, engagement, and enrollment.

  • Develop a robust referral partnership network to connect clients to needed services in the areas of legal, education, housing, health, public benefits, and employment.

  • Represent CAMBA’s Workforce Development and Refugee Services program with a high degree of professionalism to identify and secure partnerships.

Minimum Education/Experience Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree, plus relevant work experience in the social services and/or non-profit development fields, preferably in Refugee Services.

  • At least 1 year of supervisory experience preferred.

Other Requirements:

  • Excellent leadership, critical thinking, judgment, and problem solving skills.

  • Communicates effectively verbally and in-writing with proven experience delivering presentations to internal and external audiences.

  • Strong logistical skills with demonstrated success in managing complex projects and meeting deadlines.

  • Ability to interpret and implement contract while managing multiple priorities that are complex in nature.

  • Prior successful experience in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented role, operating within a constantly changing landscape.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) required and knowledge of databases preferred.

  • Preferred background in developing and leading complex proposals and providing impactful reporting to high value donors.

  • Second language proficiency preferred in Spanish, Ukrainian, Russian, French, Dari, or Pashto.

Compensation: $75,000 annually

When salary ranges are listed, the range would represent the low and high end for the applicable position & program. The salary offered would be based on various factors unique to each program and candidate. This includes but is not limited to experience, education, budget and/or program size, internal equity, skills and other factors that may be required for the position and organization.

Status: Full-time (35 hours per week)
