Responsibility:
MAINTENANCE SUPERVISOR II/ TRACK EQUIPMENT MAINTAINER
Employe selecting this program must work maintenance and inspection schedules for various equipment and manpower.
Has working knowledge of various rail mounted equipment used within NYCT.
Knowledge of rules and regulations governing crane maintenance, safety related components of cranes. Read all hydraulics, pneumatic, electrical, electronics and structural schematics.
Be familiar with procedures for ordering parts and equipment and maintain an inventory of spare parts for all equipment.
Supervisors selected for Production Equipment; Expect duties assigned as system wide with possible pre-tour and or post tour overtime, as required.
Working knowledge of the EAM work order system including, but not limited to, tool inventory and the toolbox app.
MAINTENANCE SUPERVISOR II/ CONTRACTS/VENDORS/ PROCUREMENT/ RECONCILIATION :
Generate requisitions for material and services through PeopleSoft and the BSC.
Process payments to vendors for material and services. Must be able to forecast tools as well as parts for the year through CMS &/or Talon.
Must be able to write and input into Peoplesoft-Procurement orders as required.
Must be capable of interacting and communicating with other departments and vendors to obtain information regarding materials services.
Prepare requisitions on stores for storeroom material.
Excellent knowledge of inventory procedures.
Must possess excellent computer skills in System 38/Talon, Windows, Excel, Word and PeopleSoft.
The Supervisor selected in this position will be required to pick up and deliver parts and material from local vendors as required.
MAINTENANCE SUPERVISOR II/ CONTRACTS/VENDORS/ PROCUREMENT/ RECONCILIATION:
Supervisor will be responsible for plan and scope all phases of lubrication maintenance; Based of lubrication inspection.
Monitor inspection schedule for lubrication equipment and manpower.
Provide guidance and direction to supervisors and hourly personnel on lubrication equipment and all related machinery in the shops, all houses, and wayside units.
Read all Track drawings for proper placement of lubrication equipment.
Good communication skills, and intermediate knowledge of Excel and Word.
Coordinate with all other MOW disciplines that lubrication support, manage and troubleshoot all problems in shop and field.
Manage working budget including overtime, familiar with NYCT Rules and regulations .

Maintenance Supervisor II (Track) Salary Range:
1st Entrance $110,381
2nd Year $111,951
3rd Year $115,888
Education and Experience:
Five years of full-time satisfactory experience with a major railroad or transit authority; at least one year of this experience must have been in a supervisory capacity.
Desired Skills
Knowledge of purchase requisition or modification requests.
Knowledge of Scope of Work and Technical Specifications.
Knowledge of cost/price analysis.
RFP, and single bids.
Must be Track Safety Certified.
