Position: Assistant Project Manager (Commercial Construction)

Company Overview:

Robert Half is partnering with an established commercial construction firm to assist with hiring an Assistant Project Manager with commercial construction experience.

Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled Assistant Project Manager with commercial construction experience. The successful candidate will have strong understanding of procurement processes, Requests for Information (RIF's), bidding levels, and AIA (American Institute of Architects) billing.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  1. Assist in planning, managing, and executing commercial construction projects.

  2. Manage procurement processes, ensuring items and materials are purchased within budget and on time.

  3. Prepare and submit Construction RFI's and ensure timely responses from required individuals.

  4. Monitor and assess levels of bidding to manage cost and performance.

  5. Work with finance teams to manage AIA billing to clients and to track project costs.

  6. Ensure all the practices are compliant with occupational health and safety standards.

  7. Participate in project meetings and attend to any project related issues.

  8. Establish effective communication with all project stakeholders to address their needs promptly.

Requirements

Qualifications:

  1. Minimum of 2+ years of commercial construction experience.

  2. Familiarity with Requests for Information (RIF's), bidding levels, and AIA billing.

  3. Experience in procurement is a significant advantage.

  4. Strong project management skills, including multitasking and time-management.

  5. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  6. Proficiency in using project management software.

  7. Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering or related field.
