Administrative Assistant

EAC Network, a not-for-profit social service agency that empowers, assists, and cares for over 62,888 people in need through 100 programs across Long Island and NYC, seeks an Administrative Assistant to work full time for its Brooklyn Community Re-Entry Assistance Network (CRAN) program.

The Administrative Assistant is a non-exempt position paying $22.88 per hour at 35 hours per week. The hours of operation are Monday- Friday 9:00AM-5:00PM and the office is located in Brooklyn, NY. The role reports to the Program Director.

Primary Purpose of Job:

The Administrative Assistant is responsible for assisting the Program Director in coordinating program operations for the CRAN program.

Principal Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Assist Director and Coordinators in coordinating daily operations of the program and supervise office operations in their absence.

  • Oversees Administrative department staff.

  • Answer, screen and direct phone calls and perform receptionist function at program office.

  • Handle petty cash and metro card disbursements and reconciliation.

  • Perform typing and general office duties.

  • Collect, review and input client admissions, rejections and pending cases into databases and assist Program Director and Supervisors in compiling monthly reports.

  • Oversee office supplies, maintain inventory and perform administrative duties as needed.

  • Oversee client intake schedule.

  • Oversee on and offsite storage files.

  • Assist the Case Management Unit with all aspects of case coordination and preparation for monthly audits. Maintain Audit Log.

    Minimum Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities Required:

  • HS Diploma or educational equivalent required, degree preferred.

  • Minimum of one-year work experience in either human services or alcohol/substance abuse programs required.

  • Must have a pleasant phone manner, good communication skills, both oral and written as well as the ability to work cooperatively with treatment providers and court personnel.

  • Must be proficient in computer applications or other automated systems such as spreadsheets, Microsoft Office applications, calendar, and email and/or database software necessary to perform work assignments.

  • Minimum of two years of relevant office required.

This position requires incumbent to provide acceptable proof of COVID-19 vaccination.
