Hiring an Accounts Receivable Specialist in Brooklyn, NY!
We are seeking an organized and detail-oriented Accounts Receivable Specialist to join our team. This role involves managing invoicing and accounts receivable tasks to ensure accurate and timely billing and collections. You will be part of a small, family-owned company specializing in industrial adhesives, providing a stable work environment with opportunities for growth.
Job Responsibilities:
Create, enter, and email receivable invoices and statements.
Pre-authorize, charge, and reconcile credit card payments.
Prepare deposits by matching checks to invoices and entering payments into systems.
Analyze customer records efficiently, making corrections and modifications accurately within company guidelines.
Manage aging reports and collections by monitoring past due accounts.
Perform collections outreach by contacting customers and arranging for payment of outstanding invoices.
Resolve customer account inquiries.
Answer customer calls, address questions, and take orders as needed.
Handle conversations with upset customers professionally.
Skills & Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED.
2+ years of work experience in accounts receivable.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
Strong organizational skills and great attention to detail.
Experience with SAP is a major plus.
Ability to learn about products, take orders, and answer customer questions.
Work Environment:
This role is based in a small office environment in Sunset Park, Brooklyn, working 100% on-site. Hours are from 8:30am-4:30pm Monday through Friday, with no weekend work required. The company offers a stable year-round business with a close-knit team of no more than 30 employees. The company shuts down for the first two weeks of July and the final week of the year, providing additional time off.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $25.00/hr.
