Do you like to build and work on computers for fun? Do you like to troubleshoot? This might be the position for you! View different types ofSoftware and Controllers (https://www.daktronics.com/en-us/products/software-and-controllers) (https://www.daktronics.com/en-us/products/software-and-controllers) built at Daktronics. This position will work on computers and controllers that will be used at High Schools, Parks, and Recreational facilities.

Day Shift Hours:  Monday-Thursday 6am-4:30pm, Friday if OT is needed

Control Systems Assembler

  • You will build the Control Systems that run our various video displays.

  • Learn the modular and technical construction displays; interpret technical and non-technical drawings; safely operate hand tools; participate in a build team.

  • Program and Configure Laptops.

  • Build and Configure Control System.

  • Assemble a Digital Media Player (DMP) Controllers.

  • Learn Daktronics products, systems, and processes and assemble product in a safe, accurate and timely manner.

  • Work scheduled hours. Work overtime when necessary. 

  • Willing to work in any manufacturing department through flexibility. 

  • Perform other duties as needed to meet customer expectations. 

    Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required.  

  • Current or previous successful metal machine operation experience preferred.  

  • Good communication skills.   

  • Ability to learn quickly. 

  • Ability to successfully participate as a member of a team. 

  • Ability to work with minimum supervision. 

  • Regularly and reliably work the scheduled hours. Ability to work overtime when workload requires. 

  • Wear all proper protective equipment as required in work area in accordance with Daktronics Safety Policy and OSHA standards. Items may include safety glasses, safety shoes/boots, hearing protection, and electrostatic discharge wear. 

  • Physical requirements include the ability to: 

  • Distinguish and identify color. 

  • Read fine print. 

  • Work with odors (solder, paint, solvent, or general manufacturing odor). 

  • Lift and carry heavy (up to 50 lbs.) and/or awkward items. 

  • Stand or sit for the full shift. 

  • Have full range of motion (including but not limited to bending and lifting) required to perform the job function. 

  • Maintain steady hand-eye coordination. 

  • Reach in all directions and in potentially awkward positions. 

  • Fluent in English, written and verbal. 

  • Ability to travel by air and ground. Valid driver's license and good driving record. Motor vehicle records will be checked.  

  • Applicants must be 18 years of age or older.
