Job Description

Supports the installation, configuration, and maintenance of purchased applications or application frameworks. Participates in the design configuration, problem diagnosis, maintenance, and installation of application systems and/or user group profiles. Validates system functionality after changes. Participates in testing and installing new software releases and application system upgrades. Analyzes, monitors, and fine-tunes the application system to achieve optimum performance levels. Works with internal infrastructure teams and vendors to resolve issues with hardware and software. Maintains a comprehensive operating system hardware and software configuration database/library of all supporting documentation to ensure data integrity. Participates with application system problem resolution by working with application developers, vendors and internal infrastructure team members to troubleshoot.

Responsibility:

  • Responsible for installation, administration and implementation of enterprise-wide search solutions across the customer environment.

  • Customize the out of the box UX and UI to meet project requirements.

  • Configuring Kubernetes auto provisioning, and auto scaling of CI/CD job/build agents/runners/nodes

  • Kubernetes auto provisioning, and auto scaling of CI/CD deployment environments where successful builds are auto deployed

  • Configuring persistent storage for Kubernetes clusters/pods, utilizing best practices, configuring NFS, persistent volumes, persistent volume claims for state persistence, etc

  • Researching opportunities for automation, troubleshooting issues as reported by users.

  • Designing and implementing clusters,cluster segmentation, internal/external networking for CI/CD deployment environments

  • Network Encryption between Kubernetes clients such as kubectl, Kubernetes masters and nodes

  • Work with our Internal IT teams (incl Risk, Security and Compliance) for guidance and expertise on related matters in a Kubernetes environment for deploying and configuring which include but is not limited to monitoring, alerting, logging, performance analysis, configuration tuning, replication, high availability, disaster recovery, benchmarking, and user experience.

  • Document solutions, architectural patterns, and best practices around the Kubernetes environment, to ensure that support, developers, and end users have guidance and insight as needed.

  • Deploying, building, and configuring deployment methods of GitLab for Kubernetes

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent work experience

  • Six or more years of experience in application development

Preferred Skills/Experience

  • Strong knowledge of Search and big data technologies.

  • A thorough understanding of an Enterprise Search project lifecycle.

  • Familiarity with Git version control for managing codebase and collaboration.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Environment (Windows Server, Firewalls, Ports, IIS, Azure).

  • Familiarity with Cloud services and experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).

  • Proven experience in implementing and deploying large scale enterprise-wide applications.

  • Experience with Docker and Kubernetes in production use cases ( Running applications at scale in Kubernetes)

  • Chef experience (writing complex cookbooks from scratch, custom providers, custom resources, etc.)

  • Experience designing enterprise Kubernetes infrastructure to support a CI/CD pipeline for GitLab CI/CD and Jenkins CI/CD

  • Teraform experience (writing from scratch, custom providers, custom resources, etc.)

  • Experience with coding and scripting ( Python, SQL, Java, JavaScript, Golang, Bash, Perl or Ruby )

  • Experience with Generative AI Tools and Prompt Engineering a huge plus.

  • Knowledge of machine learning, RAG and natural language processing (NLP) concepts a huge plus.

  • Experience configuring Generative AI Sinequa a huge plus.

Location Expectations

The role offers a hybrid/flexible schedule, which means there's an in-office expectation of 3 or more days per week and the flexibility to work outside the office location for the other days.

The salary range reflects figures based on the primary location, which is listed first. The actual range for the role may differ based on the location of the role. In addition to salary, U.S. Bank offers a comprehensive benefits package, including incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase 401(k) contribution and pension (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). Pay Range: $105,400.00 - $124,000.00 - $136,400.00
