Job Description

This Senior ServiceNow Engineer will be responsible for developing, configuring, and optimizing the Core Platform of ServiceNow to enhance our business processes and improve service delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and Development: Lead the design and implementation of ServiceNow Core Platform solutions. Customize core capabilities such as Quality Code tool, global tables etc.

  • Collaboration and Customization: Collaborate with IT and business stakeholders to define system requirements. Customize the platform to meet business needs.

  • Scripting and Automation: Develop and implement scripts on the ServiceNow platform to automate tasks. Integrate with external systems.

  • System Maintenance and Performance: Ensure the stability, integrity, and efficient operation of the ServiceNow platform. Monitor system performance, implement performance tuning, and conduct system upgrades.

  • Release Management: Manage the ServiceNow release cycle, including deployment planning and execution.

  • Support and Troubleshooting: Provide advanced support for ServiceNow by troubleshooting, implementing bug fixes, and conducting root cause analysis.

  • Best Practices and Security: Maintain a comprehensive understanding of ServiceNow best practices, processes, and security protocols.

  • Mentorship and Guidance: Mentor junior engineers. Provide guidance on best practices in ServiceNow development and configuration.

  • Continuous Learning and Evaluation: Stay current with the latest updates and features in ServiceNow. Evaluate how new updates and features could benefit the organization

Basic Qualifications (Required):

  • Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent work experience

  • Five or more years of ServiceNow development experience

  • Has ServiceNow CSA (Certified System Admin) Certification

  • Availability for On-Call rotation (once as primary and once as secondary) every 13 weeks.

  • Availability to support production releases on Wednesday evenings, every other week.

Required Technical Skills:

  • ServiceNow Platform Expertise: Profound knowledge of the ServiceNow platform and its capabilities, including an understanding of the latest releases and updates.

  • Development Skills: Proficiency in JavaScript and familiarity with client and server-side scripting in ServiceNow. Knowledge of HTML, CSS, and modern JavaScript frameworks (like AngularJS) for portal development.

  • Integration Skills: Experience with integrating ServiceNow with other business systems using REST, SOAP, and other relevant web services.

Preferred Skills/Experience:

  • Workflow and Automation: Ability to design and implement complex workflows and automate processes to enhance service operations.

  • UI/UX Design: Skills in designing intuitive and effective user interfaces and user experiences, particularly within the ServiceNow portal.

  • Performance Optimization: Experience in optimizing the performance of ServiceNow applications across different modules and ensuring scalability.

  • Security Practices: Understanding of security best practices within ServiceNow development, including data privacy and role-based access controls.

  • AI/Gen AI Knowledge of implementing and customizing ServiceNow’s AI, including NLU (Natural Language Understanding) and integration with AI services.

  • Problem Solving and Analytical Skills: Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think analytically to overcome development challenges.

  • Project Management: Experience in Agile methodologies and the ability to manage multiple projects effectively.

  • ServiceNow CAD (Certified Application Developer) Certification

Location Expectation (Hybrid/flexible schedule)

The role offers a hybrid/flexible schedule, which means there's an in-office expectation of 3 or more days per week and the flexibility to work outside the office location for the other days.

The salary range reflects figures based on the primary location, which is listed first. The actual range for the role may differ based on the location of the role. In addition to salary, U.S. Bank offers a comprehensive benefits package, including incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase 401(k) contribution and pension (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). Pay Range: $119,765.00 - $140,900.00 - $154,990.00
