This role demands a strategic leader with a strong commitment to compliance, continuous improvement, and stakeholder engagement, ensuring that Boeing’s Continuing Airworthiness capabilities meet the highest standards in the industry.
As the Continuing Airworthiness Capability and Area of Practice (AoP) Lead, you will play a pivotal role in managing and enhancing Continuing Airworthiness Management Support Services (CAMSS) across all BDUK Aircraft programs and sign off all documentation with regards to Capability and AoP.
Your responsibilities include:
Leadership and Oversight: Serve as the AoP lead for CAMSS activities, ensuring clear assignment of responsibilities to suitably qualified and experienced personnel (SQEP) and validating their competencies.
Training and Development: Identify training gaps and collaborate with the Head of Department to address them effectively.
Best Practices Development: Establish a Best Practice Functional Area of Practise to educate and integrate teams within CAMO and the broader Product Support (PS) function, fostering valuable connections across internal teams.
Value Proposition: Define and communicate the value that Boeing brings to CAMO, developing an engagement plan to enhance collaboration.
Policy and Compliance: Collaborate with program MILCAM’s and other program leads to ensure that BDUK's Continuing Airworthiness Support Services align with MAA MRP strategy, maintaining compliance and providing consistent processes as outlined in relevant platform Continuing Airworthiness Management Exposition (CAME) documents.
Growth and Consistency: Develop and implement growth strategies to standardise Boeing’s approach to Part M support across all applicable platforms, leveraging innovative tools and technologies to enhance airworthiness and operational effectiveness.
Management Plans: Provide functional Oversight and ensure the respect programs maintenance of BDUK Continuing Airworthiness Management Plans (CAMP) and associated Interface Control Documents for each Boeing-supported platform.
Stakeholder Engagement: Enhance understanding and engagement among Boeing stakeholders regarding Part M activities, ensuring early consideration of airworthiness support needs for emerging technologies and services.
Metrics and Monitoring: Guide the creation of Continuing Airworthiness Management metrics and dashboards to facilitate daily management, performance monitoring, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Digital Integration: Develop a digital landscape for Product Support with integrated CAMO solutions. Work towards consolidating CAMO data requirements within the DA team dashboards to create a unified platform.
Customer-Centric Approach: Ensure consistent tailored services provided to all customers based on contractual obligations.
Organisational Structure: Define and clarify organisational responsibilities to support the Platforms now and during future re-organisations. Ensuring that the new program receives clearly defined and documented support, including Roles and Accountabilities (RAAs) for team members.
Regulatory resolution
Adapting current practices to operate within the FAA and MAA regulatory framework.
Work with the MILCaM and Head of Airworthiness to determine where there is uncertainty in the regulations that requires clarification to deliver the program and provide early advice on potential solutions.
Collaboration and Transition Planning: Establish communication plans and boundaries with the Part 145, Part 21 organisation, overseeing the transition of CAMSS from Acquisition to Sustainment.
Expectation of travel occasionally.
Can be flexible with location.
Required (Essential) Qualifications (Experience/Education/Skills):
Experience in applying MAA Regulations and UK MoD airworthiness policies, processes, and culture in an aircraft operations environment.
Awareness of MRP Part M requirements and procedures.
Awareness of MRP Part 145 requirements and procedures.
Awareness of MRP Part21 requirements and procedures.
Understanding of Aviation Duty Holder and Accountable Manager (Military Flying) requirements and procedures.
Awareness of Type Airworthiness Authority requirements and procedures.
Preferred Qualifications (Experience/Education/Skills):
Engineering Council registration (CEng or IEng) in an engineering field related to aerospace engineering.
Proven ability to work collaboratively on planning and developing meaningful metrics to evaluate compliance status and provide performance visibility.
Effective in executing opportunities to enhance strategies, processes, and project plans.
Strong communication skills, technical competency, and familiarity with project management concepts/tools.
