The Opportunity KBR is seeking a highly skilled Senior People Manager to contribute to the growth and success of our Australia Defence and Security Solutions (ADSS) business.

As the successful candidate you would be responsible for developing and delivering comprehensive people strategies aligned with KBR's goals, and leading the development, implementation, review and management of projects and initiatives to effectively support business growth and maximise opportunities for our people.

This position will require an active AGSVA security clearance on commencement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership to the People Business Partnering team, providing business-facing support and generalist people advice.

  • Oversee the develop and execution of people plans in consultation with business leadership, and ensure alignment with the overall business and People Team Strategy.

  • Deliver strategic people advice to leaders in the Australia Defence and Security Solutions business.

  • Provide subject matter expertise on HR/ER, policy interpretation and application of procedure.

  • Ensure that all people processes and activities are deployed in line with the KBR values, policies, procedures, and employment legislation.

  • Provide thought leadership and support on all people business partnering issues, and partner with other parts of the People Team to deliver optimal outcomes to KBR.

  • Ensure controls are in place and adhered to for required governance of people practices and compliance with company and legal requirements.

    Required Qualifications, Experience & Knowledge

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resource Management, Business or related discipline

  • Minimum 10 years of people business partnering experience

  • Experience in a similar role, ideally in a global organisation

  • Demonstrated ability to understand client needs and offer pragmatic solutions

  • Experience in delivering strategic people solutions for complex organisations

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

  • Strong commercial acumen

  • Demonstrated ability to manage and advise on ER matters

  • Excellent relationship management and communication skills

  • Ability to influence, negotiate and resolve conflict, including at senior levels

  • Experience in Defence Industry desirable

  • You must hold or be able to obtain an Australian Government Security Clearance
