Salary 60,000 – 70,000
My client, a manufacturing company located in the Bridgewater area has an opportunity to a Sr. Accountant.
The Staff Accountant will be responsible for AR and AP functions and other general accounting duties.
Generate AR Aging and other reports detailing accounts receivable status.
Reconcile the accounts receivable ledger to ensure that all payments are accounted for and properly posted.
Compliance: Ensure transactions comply with company policies and relevant regulations.
Schedule and process payments via checks, ACH, wire transfers to vendors.
Facilitate payment of invoices due by sending bill reminders and contacting clients.
Audit Support: Provide documentation and explanations for internal or external audits.
Invoicing and Billing - Generate and issue invoices to customers.
Review, code and enter vendor invoices into the system.
Research new customers for credit terms by analyzing credit reports and references.
.Assist with preparing and filing quarterly sales tax.
Reconcile vendor statements and resolve any payment issues.
Review employee expense reports for accuracy and policy compliance.
Maintain AP aging reports and assist in managing cash outflows.
Month-End Close: Assist in month-end and year-end closing activities, including journal entries and account reconciliations.
Documentation: Maintain accurate and organized records for AR/AP processes.
Collaboration: Work with other departments (e.g., Sales, Procurement) to resolve financial issues.
Record customer payments and verify discrepancies by and resolve clients’ billing issues
Requirements
The ideal candidate will have
• 2+ years of experience in AR/AP or general accounting.
• Excellent attention to detail with a high degree of accuracy.
• Familiarity with accounting software and Microsoft Excel (advanced proficiency is a plus).
• Manufacturing industry highly preferred
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Ability to adapt to a fast-paced environment.
• Good verbal and written communication skills to interact with vendors, customers, and internal teams.
