Job Role: Electrical/Controls Maintenance Technician

Key Responsibilities
- Ensure manufacturing process reliability by maintaining electrical and mechanical systems.
- Safely operate power tools, electrical testing equipment, and maintenance tools.
- Perform preventative maintenance, including annual PMs and equipment inspections.
- Troubleshoot and repair PLC, HMI, and VFD systems.
- Read and interpret mechanical and electrical schematics.
- Identify and correct safety hazards, ensuring compliance with safety regulations.
- Diagnose issues using precision measuring and testing instruments.
- Follow LOTO (Lockout/Tagout) certification and maintain industry standards.
- Complete detailed work orders, including documentation of issues, repairs, and solutions.
- Support the implementation of preventative maintenance procedures for plant instrumentation and automation systems.
- Troubleshoot and repair industrial control devices, sensors, and communications systems (e.g., PLC/PC, bar-code readers, label printers, RFID, etc.).
- Work with Allen-Bradley PLCs, troubleshooting ladder logic programming.
Required Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Electrical/Maintenance Journeyman License in the state of Michigan.
- 3+ years of manufacturing maintenance experience.
- Strong electrical & mechanical aptitude.
- Ability to troubleshoot PLCs and ladder logic.
- Experience with 480V 3-phase motor controls, 120V AC, and 24V DC control circuits.
- Ability to read & interpret blueprints, P&IDs, wiring schematics, and engineering drawings.
- Willing to work weekends and off-shift hours as needed.
- Must be willing to join the Hazmat team.
- Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in a food processing environment.
- Familiarity with SAP/PPE systems.
- Proficiency in using test and calibration equipment (e.g., RTD calibrators, digital multimeters, 4-20mA calibration units).
- Strong troubleshooting skills with Allen-Bradley PLCs.
