What you'll be doing...

As a Senior Engineer of Network Real Estate and Regulatory, you will have a key role supporting real estate and regulatory functions in the OPW Market for the Macro Initial Build Team. The position will focus on Initial Build projects. This role will effectively manage multiple time-sensitive initiatives, report out on progress and KPIs, interface with all levels of management, and act as a trusted advisor to engineering leadership to ensure alignment and execution of strategic goals. A key aspect of this role is building collaborative relationships with our internal key business partners to understand their priorities and challenges, addressing their needs on an ongoing basis, and delivering time and cost saving solutions to enhance the overall success of our network projects.

Analyzing, interpreting, and monitoring relevant government regulations.

Evaluating network projects proposed by submarket teams to ensure regulatory compliance.

Working closely with Real Estate counterparts, Equipment/Construction Engineers, and RF Engineering teams to ensure Real Estate challenges and issues are cleared and all requirements are met for project completion.

Working with outside vendors including Legal counsel, Site Acquisition firms, and Architectural & Engineering firms on project design and priorities to meet VZW standards and build schedules.

Hosting weekly routine planning and working sessions with critical stakeholders and regional Managers.

Develop and maintain a detailed update summary and forecast for each project.

Coordinate and oversee the issuance of POs and Funding requests.

Utilizing leadership qualities to effectively direct resources according to priorities and meet challenging deployment targets.

What we're looking for...

You're an expert project manager - organized, efficient, and detail-oriented with the ability to see the big picture. You can work effectively with a variety of stakeholders, even in challenging situations. You're driven to solve problems and overcome hurdles, and you approach every situation with a can-do, team-player attitude.

You'll need to have:

Bachelor's degree or six or more years of work experience.

Six or more years of relevant work experience.

A valid driver's license.

Willingness to travel up to 25% of the time.

Experience managing large cross-functional projects and programs.

Even better if you have one or more of the following:

Six or more years of experience in Wireless/Cellular/Telecom technologies

Three or more years of experience managing large cross-functional or enterprise-wide projects.

Ability to influence organizational direction and departmental initiatives.

Leadership, problem solving skills, and negotiation skills.

Advanced Office and Google skills, including the ability to perform advanced functions (e.g., pivot tables, Vlookups).

Ability to perform financial analytics, business decision analysis.

Organization skills and the ability to manage multiple, often conflicting priorities to successful completion.

Experience making independent decisions based on policies, practices, and project requirements.

Knowledge to understand a project's technical breadth.
