DESCRIPTION OF WORK You are expected to exercise technical independence when determining the most effective work practices and procedures for completing assigned tasks related to building repair and maintenance. Instructions may be given verbally or in writing for each assignment. It is essential that you are proficient in operating a wide range of tools, including pneumatic and vibrating tools, hand and power tools, as well as other tools such as hammers, screwdrivers, saws, levels, trowels, hoes, rakes, and any other tools required for the job. In addition to general maintenance tasks, you will be responsible for maintaining existing plumbing fixtures and installing new plumbing when necessary. This includes repairing or replacing faucets, drains, water pipes, toilets, and drinking fountains, as well as unclogging drains and fixing leaky faucets. Your duties will also involve replacing bulbs, shades, switches, and ballasts, assisting electricians with major electrical maintenance and repairs, and maintaining electrical motors by oiling, adjusting, and caring for them. Furthermore, you will check and perform normal maintenance and minor adjustments to heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems, as well as adjust settings on system programs. You may also be required to perform electrical work to ensure the existing service is maintained and install additional light fixtures and electrical outlets as needed.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

Full-time employment Work hours are 6:00 AM to 2:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with 30-minute lunch. Work schedule is subject to change seasonally and/or due to weather. Check your email, including spam/junk folders, for these notices.   REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

Two years of experience as a Maintenance Repairman 1; or Four years of experience in building and plant maintenance work, which has involved at least two of the building, electrical, or mechanical trades; or Any equivalent combination of experience and training that affords the applicant with the Required Knowledges, Skills, and Abilities.

Special Requirements: This position requires possession of a valid Pennsylvania Class C Driver's License.
