Actalent **QA Engineer** in Bridgeton, Missouri

Job Title: QA EngineerJob Description

Take the lead on a QA project to develop and implement an enhanced SPC program as part of the annual product review. Analyze current processes and develop enhancements with statistical tools like Excel, Minitab, and Google Sheets. Write up procedures for use within the department, train current QA Engineers to utilize this process moving forward, and assist with compiling data using the new program for each of the products manufactured at the facility. May support other projects requiring a statistical background within the facility.

Responsibilities

  • Lead a QA project to develop and implement an enhanced SPC program.

  • Analyze current processes and develop enhancements using statistical tools.

  • Write procedures for departmental use.

  • Train QA Engineers on the new processes.

  • Assist with data compilation for each manufactured product using the new program.

  • Support other projects requiring statistical expertise within the facility.

Essential Skills

  • Experience with SPC and creating statistical charts such as control charts.

  • Expertise in creating SOPs for data compilation and analysis processes.

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in pharmaceutical manufacturing.

  • Solid understanding of GMP.

  • At least 2 years of experience working with statistical tools and within SPC.

  • Technical writing experience with SOPs.

  • Ability to lead projects independently without direct supervision.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • BS degree preferred in Science, Engineering, or a related field.

  • Experience in Operations, Quality, Engineering, Continuous Improvement, etc.

  • Excellent communication and training skills.

Work Environment

Work in a cubicle environment within a pharmaceutical manufacturing facility. Collaborate cross-functionally with QA, Operations, QC, Engineering, and other departments. Standard day shift hours with some flexibility on start and end times, Monday to Friday.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $45.00/hr.
