West Virginia Employer Boom Truck/Tractor Trailer in Bridgeport, West Virginia
EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE - High school diploma or equivalent preferred, but not required Must possess a Class A Commercial Drivers License (CDL) Prior driving experience or a current Certification from a DOT compliant CDL Driving School is required. REQUIREMENTS - Responsible for own personal safety at all times Ability to adhere to personal protective equipment (PPE) policy and maintain individual PPE in functional condition Maintain the highest standard of safety and quality in all aspects of the job Maintain daily vehicle electronic inspections and reports (time sheets, mileage logs, DOT hours of service, etc.), assuring that each vehicle is safe and well maintained Assure product quality to the best of the Driver's ability before leaving plants and in route to jobsites Operate phone/tablet system to communicate to dispatchers of delivery status Notify the Dispatcher of job site information and conditions Maintain a clean truck to ensure safety and operational excellence Load, unload, and secure as needed Check all inventory in truck against purchase orders Assist forklift operators when loading as needed Physical ability to operate equipment and to transport material. Position may require employee to unload truck by hand and lifting up to 50lbs, 100 lbs use team lift Maintain radio contact with dispatch for scheduling changes Prepare, receive, and provide appropriate documentation Knowledge of DOT and CDL regulations Ability to work independently with attention to detail Ability to follow direction and work effectively in a team environment Ability to respond to stressful situations and customers in a professional, courteous manner Ability to effectively prioritize assignments to meet long-term and short-term deadlines Excellent organizational skills Able to work various times, hours, and at various locations Ability to sit/stand for extended periods of time. Typical shift is 8-12 hours. Candidates may eventually be crossed-trained to operate other fleet vehicles including ready mix trucks and other equipment as deemed necessary Attendance required according to company attendance policy to ensure crew is able to operate at normal efficiency level Must pass criminal background check, and Functional Capacity Examination
