  • Provide leadership of the centralized mail audit team as well as regional Premium Audit teams.
  • Serve as a technical resource on all Premium Audit matters.
  • Establish and monitor internal Premium Audit processes and procedures. Ensure compliance with external statutory requirements.
  • Establish procedures and controls to ensure accomplishment of service standards.
  • Together with Corporate Underwriting and Regional Premium Audit leaders, develop and oversee training plans for new and less experienced Premium Audit members.
  • Establish and evaluate service standards including productivity and quality metrics.
  • Oversee quality review program in compliance with established company Quality Assurance guidelines.
  • Manage the Premium Audit staffing model to ensure staffing optimization.
  • Provide technical oversight and direction on the IT system infrastructure and support for Premium Audit.
  • Together with Product and IT, manage the Request for Proposal (RFP) process serving as the Premium Audit workflow subject matter expert.
  • Ensure compliance with internal audit and other regulatory agencies.
  • Maintain documentation of compliance.
  • Maintain familiarity with all insurance manuals, Premium Audit manuals, handbooks, guides and related materials.
    Communicate with executive management and regional leadership regarding all pertinent operations to support effective leadership and direction for the department.
  • Participate in committees and teams related to Premium Audit.
  • Together with Learning Services, coordinate the training process for trainees, new hires, as well as in-service training of field staff.
  • Evaluate and ensure audit vendor relationships are maximized and leveraged across regions.

Requirement and Qualifications:

  • Must be able to effectively communicate premium audit decisions to agents and insureds.
  • Maintains familiarity with all insurance manuals, premium audit manuals, handbooks, guides and related materials.
  • Ability to work independently without direct supervision.
  • Intermediate to advanced PC skills required including auditing software, Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Possesses strong interpersonal skills.
  • May require overnight travel.
  • Must have valid state-issued driver's license in good standing.
  • College degree preferred.

  • 7+ years Premium Audit management or field audit experience

The expected starting salary range for this role is$146,000 - $209,000. The actual base salary is based on geographic location, and the range is representative of salaries for this role throughout Selective's footprint. Additional considerations include relevant education, qualifications, experience, skills, performance, and business needs.
