CDI Scheduling and Data Entry Specialist in Boynton Beach, Florida

RAYUS Radiology, formerly Center for Diagnostic Imaging and Insight Imaging, is looking for a Scheduling and Data Entry Specialist to join our team. As a Scheduling and Data Entry Specialist, provide support to the companies’ markets with order entry, scheduling and insurance pre-certification and authorization. This role is working Monday-Friday, 8:30am-5:00pm. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: (45%) Scheduling * Supports market(s) in scheduling of patient appointments as determined by team lead * Answers phones and handles calls in a professional and timely manner * Maintains positive interactions at all times with patients, referring offices and staff * Schedule’s patient examinations according to existing company and market policies * Ensures all appropriate personal, financial and insurance information is obtained and recorded accurately * Ensures all patient data is entered into information systems completely and accurately * Ensures patients are advised of appointment preps, financial responsibilities, and online information * Communicates to technologists any scheduling changes in order to ensure highest patient satisfaction * Maintains up to date and accurate database on all current and potential referring physicians * Obtains and enters new referring physician information in computer system database and passes along to market for follow up. * Enters documents received via electronic format (fax to scan) into RIS system within a timely fashion (40%) Pre-Certification and Authorization * Supports market(s) in insurance pre-certification and authorization as determined by team lead * Determines if patients’ insurance is part of the provider network * Makes outgoing calls to insurance companies for pre-certification or any authorization * Utilizes payer websites to obtain prior authorization * Contact’s patients and referring offices using HIPAA guidelines prior to scheduled exam when additional insurance information is needed * Verifies insurance eligibility * Uses knowledge of insurance carriers and procedures that require waivers to obtain authorization if needed prior to appointment (10%) Resource to Operations Improvement Department * Pulls reports/information, reviews and publishes data to facilitate timely communication with the Operations Improvement team * Assists in identifying improvement opportunities that can provide a positive impact to operations * Provides assistance in various projects in coordination with other Operations Improvement staff (5%) Completes other tasks as assigned SUMMARY OF QUALIFICATIONS: Required: * High school diploma or GED * Microsoft Office Suite experience * Proficient with using computer systems and typing Preferred: * 1 to 2 years’ customer service and data entry experience * Medical terminology or previous clinical office experience * Bilingual RAYUS is committed to delivering clinical excellence in communities across the U.S., driven by our passion for and superior service to referring providers and patients.
