WKU is seeking a dedicated and experienced individual to fill the role of Comprehensive Transition and Postsecondary (CTP) Program Director. This position involves overseeing a program designed to support students with intellectual disabilities in their transition to postsecondary education and beyond. The Program Director will be responsible for organizing student workers and volunteers, reviewing applicant materials, providing support to participants in coursework, and collaborating with professors to modify assignments as needed.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee all aspects of the CTP Program, including recruitment, selection, and support of participants.

  • Organize and supervise student workers and volunteers involved in the program.

  • Review applicant materials, including transcripts, recommendations, and personal statements, to assess suitability for the program.

  • Develop and implement individualized support plans for participants, including academic support, life skills training, and career development.

  • Facilitate workshops and training sessions for participants on topics such as study skills, time management, and self-advocacy.

  • Collaborate with faculty to modify assignments and assessments to ensure accessibility for participants with disabilities.

  • Monitor participants' progress and provide ongoing support and guidance as needed.

  • Maintain accurate records and documentation related to participant enrollment, progress, and outcomes.

  • Serve as a liaison between participants, faculty, staff, and community partners to promote program objectives and facilitate opportunities for engagement and collaboration.

  • Stay informed about best practices and emerging trends in the field of intellectual disabilities and postsecondary education.

    Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in a field related to intellectual disabilities, special education, rehabilitation counseling, or a related field.

  • At least three years of experience working with students with intellectual disabilities in an educational or support services setting.

    Additional Information:

Salary Range: $55,300-$58,000
