The Leeds School of Business at the University of Colorado Boulder is hiring a 50% teaching assistant professor in business communication for the Professional Effectiveness Division for Fall 2024. What Your Key Responsibilities Will Be

  • Teach 4 classes per year of business communication courses per academic year focusing primarily on oral communication, leadership effectiveness, career readiness, and teamwork.

  • Utilize online platforms including Canvas to provide lecture content.

  • Collaborate and coordinate well with colleagues to contribute to the goals of the division.

  • Continue partnership with corporate sponsors to maintain the integrity of course assignments.

  • Demonstrate flexibility in teaching methods to accommodate changes in course structure as needed.

  • Support campus-wide diversity and inclusion initiatives.

What We Can Offer

This is a one-year appointment at 50%, teaching two 3-credit courses per semester. The salary is $35,000.

What We Require

  • Minimum requirement of a Masters Degree in communication or a related field and three years of experience teaching business communication; preference will be given to candidates with PhDs in communication or those who are ABD.
