Description There is a Full Charge Bookkeeper opportunity with growth potential open for candidates who multi-task effectively and have strong communication, organizational, and time-management skills. The Full Charge Bookkeeper position Robert Half is currently filling and could be a good fit for you. This long-term contract / temporary Full Charge Bookkeeper opportunity is based in Boulder, Colorado. If you're comfortable with establishing and maintaining the organization's accounting principles, practices, procedures, and initiatives, as well as all general accounting and bookkeeping functions, including the preparation of financial statements, you could be a good candidate for this position.
What you get to do every single day
Handling processing tasks for accounts payable and accounts receivable, including collections
Overseeing accounting clerks and entry-level bookkeepers
Filing documents to maintain historical records
Producing the trial balance and financial statements, including, but not limited to, balance sheet and statements of income and of cash flows
Following progress of fixed assets to prepare depreciation schedules
Completing monthly, quarterly, and year end close, on time and in an accurate manner
Maintaining knowledge of current federal, state, and local legal requirements, ensuring adherence to them, filing reports, and communicating with management on needed actions
Completing bank and general ledger reconciliations; processing payroll Requirements - A thorough knowledge of accrual and cash basis of accounting
3+ years of relevant experience in bookkeeping
Ability to multitask and attention to detail are critical
Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision
- Excel, Quickbooks, and Peachtree experience a plus
Highly capable of analyzing financial data and quickly creating accurate reports
Payroll experience preferred
High school diploma or similar certification with an AA degree or higher in Accounting or Business recommended
Highly organized and self-motivated
Demonstrated flexibility to adapt to changes in procedures and job assignments
Foundational knowledge in Bank Account Reconciliation
General ledger experience highly desired
Comprehensive knowledge of Accounts Payable (AP)
Demonstrated knowledge of Expense Reconciliation
General familiarity with Processes Expense Reports
Command of Accounts Receivable (AR)
Adeptness in Sage Intacct
Strong familiarity with month end closings
