With more than 60 patents, we create thetechnology that enables our customers to make fact-based decisions, improveprocess yields and comply with ever-changing regulatory requirements.The RoleAs the Analog Electrical Engineer, you'll be designing, developing,and testing electronics, lasers and flow systems for particle countinginstrumentation. You will be working on new product development and helpingwith sustaining issues when required. You will be using and developing a broadrange of electronic engineering skills that include low noise photo detectorcircuits, laser controls, opto-electronics and flow systems. For newproduct design, you will be part of a project team helping to create thenext generation of particle counters and overcoming challenges at the physicallimit of opto-mechanical and electronic sensing technologies.Specific Job Responsibilities:Developing and sustaining electronics for particle counting instrumentsWorking with multi-disciplinary project teams that include mechanical andfirmware engineers as well as supply chain, production engineers, servicetechnicians and product line managersWorking with analog front-end electronics, lasers, and pressure regulatedairflow systems.Designing, developing, and testing designsTroubleshooting electronicsHoning your existing expertise and expanding your capabilities by developingnew skills over a broad range of electrical design technologiesWriting design documentation, test reports and other technical documentswhen appropriateQualifications:Bachelor of Science in Electrical EngineeringAt least six years of experience in electronic hardware designProficiency with schematic captureExperience with lasers, and opto-electronics.Experience with photo-detectors and low noise transimpedance amplifiers.Experience using analog circuit simulators such as SPICEThe ability to use standard electronic test equipment such as DVMs,oscilloscopes and function generators to test and troubleshoot boards.Excellent written and oral communication skillsAbility to write clear and concise reports, summarize data and createtechnical documents.Preferred QualificationsMaster of Science in Electrical EngineeringTen or more years of experience in electronic hardware designProficiency with lasers and optical systemsPrior design experience with aerosol particle counting designs.Experience with Mentor xDx DesignerExperience with low noise analog electronic designUnderstanding of aerosol physicsThe Nuts and BoltsLocation - This is an "in-office" position 75% - 100% of the time withCovid precautions being taken. The location of this position is in Boulder,CO. The remainder of the time you may work from home. These percentages aretargets with the actual schedule to be determined in conjunction with themanagers expectations for the position.
