You are responsible for
Participate in development of acquisition modules for the Ultrasound Imaging Systems
Create Requirements documentation, specify the design and Theory of Operations, schematic block diagrams with data, control, clock and power paths, and develop the FPGA test plan
Develop detailed digital designs from concept through implementation
Prepare Software Interface Control Document (ICD)
Participate in design reviews
Develop code in Verilog, VHDL and/or SystemVerilog, prepare constraint files, design test benches and develop simulation tests
Work with board designers and software engineers to integrate FPGA into the final hardware
Provide lifecycle design support
You are part of
The Philips Ultrasound Team, working on Ultrasound Signal/Image Processing and Imaging Chain Hardware within Ultrasound R&D Engineering in our Bothell, WA location.
To succeed in this role, you’ll need a customer-first attitude and the following
Strong understanding of engineering design principles
Understanding of the HW development processes
FPGA design and verification, Verilog, VHDL and/or SystemVerilog
Superb RTL design and synthesis skills for FPGA with Xilinx or Altera
Familiarity with Digital Signal processing
Proficiency in Matlab, C, C++ a plus
Familiarity in working with Ultrasound and/or Medical field a plus.
PCB design and implementation
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Education and Experience:
BS in EE or Computer Science, Master’s preferred
5 or more years hardware development experience which may include internship and/or co-op experience
FPGA Design is a must
Excellent diagnostic and troubleshooting skills, both software and hardware
Ability to analyze and solve complex problems
Strong desire to learn and adapt to new technologies and challenges
Self-motivated individual with good organizational and time management skills
