Job Description

Lead, manage, and train teams of technicians. Install, inspect, repair, and maintain material handling equipment such as conveyors. You will need to have the ability to install and troubleshoot photo eyes, motor starters, relays, limit switches, proximity sensors, timers, solenoids, Servo drives, frequency inverters, linear drives, tachs, and encoders. Provide feedback on tasks in the Preventive Maintenance programs, complete assigned PMs and suggest any improvements that might be needed.

Responsibilities

  • Lead, manage, and train teams of technicians.

  • Install, inspect, repair, and maintain material handling equipment such as conveyors.

  • Install and troubleshoot photo eyes, motor starters, relays, limit switches, proximity sensors, timers, solenoids, Servo drives, frequency inverters, linear drives, tachs, and encoders.

  • Provide feedback on tasks in the Preventive Maintenance programs.

  • Complete assigned Preventive Maintenance (PM) tasks and suggest improvements.

Essential Skills

  • Industrial maintenance

  • Equipment maintenance

  • Electro-mechanical skills

  • Electrical maintenance

  • Troubleshoot and repair electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic systems

  • Experience with automated conveyor systems

  • Perform preventative maintenance on conveyor systems, hydraulics, pneumatics, schematics, motors, wiring, and PLC control

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • 2+ years of experience performing maintenance (mechanical & electrical) on equipment

  • 1+ year of experience leading and managing a team within the last 2 years

  • Experience in Distribution, Logistics, Manufacturing, and Industrial industries

  • Experience performing maintenance on complex systems and industrial equipment

  • Preferred: Associate degree from a technical school, apprenticeship, certifications, military training, or hands-on training related to the maintenance field

Work Environment

This role is based in a large distribution facility with high-speed automation equipment, mostly with robotic components. Candidates should be comfortable with their performance being tracked by data and numbers. Be prepared to walk 10,000 steps per day. All candidates must be open to working any 10-hour shift, as positions are available for all shifts.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Bondurant, Iowa.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $34.00 - $34.00/hr.
