Description
Lana Funkhouser with Robert Half is currently working with a client looking to fill a Purchaser position. The Purchaser will be responsible for researching new vendors, products, and services and negotiating contracts for the best price and value. This may be the role for you if you are an experience purchaser with excellent communication, inventory management and analytical skills.
Your responsibilities
Attend and contribute to meetings with staff and other stakeholders
Monitor inventory and writing orders to refill stock
Look over products upon delivery and report any issues timely
Conduct research on potential products, vendors, and services, and comparing price and quality for the best deal
Write reports on purchases made and performing cost analyses
Work with delivery and warehouse teams to ensure goods are received on time
Update all records of purchased products
Meet with vendors and clients to negotiate contracts
Attend events, shows, and exhibitions to network with vendors and view new products

Requirements
Industry: Manufacturing/Construction Industry experience highly preferred
Software: NetSuite and Excel experience required
Exceptional organizational skills
Excellent communication and negotiation skills
Sound written and verbal communication skills
Exemplary analytical, quantitative and social skills
Associate's degree in Business Administration or related field preferred
