Shift: M-F 6:00am-4:00pm

Pay Rate: $40 DOE Hourly + $10 per hour incentive 

Location: Boise, ID

The principal duties and responsibilities will be:

  • Service, maintain, troubleshoot, modify, and repair facilities' electrical system equipment and components for the entire site which would include but not limited to, 4160V chillers, MCC panel’s, VFD’s, motors from 1/4hp to 300hp, Medium voltage (13kva) switch gear, medal clad breaker, UPS’s, batteries.

  • Makes recommendations related to preventative maintenance and other non-routine issues.

  • Partners with stakeholders to resolve equipment/process issues and maximize system stability.

  • Attends and participates in meetings and provides input.

  • Ensures the pass down is accurate and reflects the current work status.

  • Monitors analyzes, and addresses issues for area processes each shift.

  • Supports and monitors area processes and addresses/escalate issues.

  • Supports area cost-reduction activities.

  • Provides effective and timely support to resolve equipment issues.

  • Assists with installation, modification, and removal of facilities equipment.

  • Completes all assigned PMs and work orders in a timely and thorough manner.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of electrical experience.

  • Intermediate PC skills, including a familiarity with MS Office, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. 

  • Proven ability to follow procedures and work with minimal supervision. 

  • Flexible with job responsibilities and shift assignments. 

  • Proven time management, organization, and prioritization skills. 

  • Proven ability to multi-task in a high-paced environment. 

  • Proven ability to communicate effectively. 

  • Strong partnering and teamwork skills. 

  • Demonstrates strong written and verbal communication skills. 

  • Demonstrates critical thinking skills. 

  • Demonstrates ability to learn and self-improve continuously. 

  • Demonstrates ability to handle basic arithmetic calculations. 

Preferred:

  • Valid journeymen electrician license.

Physical Requirements:

May be required to walk up to 5+miles per day, able to be on feet for 8-10 hrs at a time, ability to bend, twist, push/pull, crouch, kneel in confined spaces, work at heights, on a ladder, and lift up to 50 pounds. The physical demands described above are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

Additional Physical Requirements:

• The employee must have strong manual dexterity as he/she is occasionally required to sit and climb or balance you may be required to work at elevated heights (i.e., on ladders, stools, or other assistive devices)

• The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to ten pounds, and frequently lift and/or move up to fifty pounds.

• Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus with strong hand-to-eye coordination.

• Ability to work in constrictive attire, wearing appropriate personal protective safety equipment as required, and sit or stand for prolonged periods.

• Capacity to work rapidly for long periods when needed, including routinely bending, stooping, reaching, walking, and standing in one location.
