We are currently seeking a Program Officer to lead our largest focus area - addressing the social and environmental factors that most impact community health across Idaho. Reporting to the Foundation Executive Director, the Program Officer will develop and implement critical initiatives aligned with the Foundation\'s mission. This role is responsible for ensuring that strategy, design, and execution are rooted in community needs, with a strong emphasis on collaboration and measurable outcomes.
Location: Boise, Idaho
Schedule: Hybrid work supported #LI-Hybrid
Travel: Required to travel and/or attend off site events during and outside of standard working hours
Minimum Qualifications:
Experience: Minimum of 3 years in community health, public health, nonprofit, or related fields.
Education: Bachelor\'s or Master\'s Degree in public/community health, health sciences, nonprofit administration, or equivalent work experience (Two years\' relevant work experience is equivalent to one-year college)

- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- Confident and effective public speaker
- Experience in leading and implementing large-scale, community-driven initiatives
- Experience with project and budget management
- Ability to manage external consultants and strategic partnerships
- Strong understanding of local government structures and policy
- Comfortable working with executive leadership and diverse stakeholder groups
- Corporate Foundation and Board experience is a plus
Here\'s what your day may look like:
- Lead Foundation initiates and grant-related efforts focused on building healthier Idaho communities
- Collaborate with the Executive Director and Board Chair to design strategic plans and annual goals
- Develop benchmarks for evaluating program impact and effectiveness
- Represent the Foundation at community events, conferences, and public forums
- Manage program budgets and community outreach
- Lead all aspects of consultants, contractors and external partners
- Coordinate research and evaluation to support strategic initiatives
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned
As of the date of this posting, a good faith estimate of the current pay range is \$76,346 to \$114,518. The position is eligible for an annual incentive bonus (variable depending on company and employee performance. The pay range for this position takes into account a wide range of factors including, but not limited to, specific competencies, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, relevant experience, skills, seniority, performance, shift, travel requirements, internal equity, geography, business or organizational needs, and alignment with market data. At Blue Cross of Idaho, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top range for the position. Compensation decisions are dependent on factors and circumstances at the time of offer.
