FPGA ENGINEERING OPPORUNITY SUPPORTING THE DEVELOPMENT OF NEXT-GEN AVIONICS SYSTEMS FOR A TOP AEROSPACE COMPANY IN THE WORLD!!!
Responsibilities:
Design Specifications: Implement innovative approaches and develop design specifications.
Team Coordination: Lead and coordinate engineering teams through architectural-level design documents.
Product Development: Facilitate the design and development of complex products.
Planning: Develop plans, schedules, and identify resources for product development.
Risk Management: Identify and mitigate risk areas to prevent schedule delays or failure to meet specifications.
Innovation: Conceive methods to achieve product requirements using appropriate hardware architecture and design techniques.
Maintenance Provide support for maintaining existing products by resolving defects, creating documentation, and releasing new hardware versions.
Continuous Improvement: Research, develop, propose, evaluate, and implement new methods, processes, techniques, tools, components, or technology to improve quality, timeliness, and performance.
Top 3 Must-Have Skills:
RTL Coding/Simulation/Debug: Strong capabilities using VHDL and/or Verilog (VHDL preferred).
Toolset Experience: Proficiency with RTL simulation, Synthesis, and Static Timing Analysis using tools such as Xilinx Vivado, Altera/Intel Quartus, Lattice Diamond, and Microsemi Libero.
Troubleshooting: Strong skills and experience in troubleshooting hardware/firmware issues using software and hardware tools.
Skills & Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering.
Strong knowledge of CCA design specifying mixed-signal technology circuits consisting of processors, I/O communications, and programmable logic devices (FPGA, CPLD).
Schematic capture experience in Cadence OrCad is desirable.
Experience with multiple networking protocols including PCIe, 1G/10G Ethernet, 1394, Fibre Channel.
Experience with MIL-STD-1553 and ARINC-429 is highly desirable.
Aerospace exp/standards.
Work Environment: You will work in a full hands-on design engineering and manufacturing company. The primary environment is an office/cubicle within the Engineering team, with exposure to manufacturing operations. You will see products both made and tested, gaining insight into the entire operation. The current team consists of two people, but growth is anticipated, creating the need for this position. This role is essential to meet the increased business demand and will be the first of several new hires.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $130000.00 - $185000.00/yr.
