Position Summary:

Florida Atlantic University is seeking an Assistant Director of Contracts and Assignments Operations. - Boca Raton, FL.

Summary of responsibilities:

  • Provide leadership and management of StarRez (housing occupancy management software), including the housing application and module design.•

  • Partner with Student Affairs Information Technology (SAIT) for process development, system programming efforts, and quality assurance methods, to ensure the system meets organizational and operational needs.

  • Partner with SAIT to oversee upgrades and maintenance to StarRez, and to problem-solve and troubleshoot.

  • Prepare and create housing dashboards and reports in StarRez.

  • Provide leadership for the assignments, appeals, cancellations, and assignment change requests for East Campus (upper-class housing).

  • Supervise a Coordinator who assists with assignments, appeals, cancellations, and assignment change requests for East Campus (upper-class housing).

  • Monitor resident eligibility (enrollment, dismissals, suspensions) according to the terms and conditions of the Housing Contract and enforce the contract terms.

  • Coordinate building access control schedules in collaboration with SAIT.

  • Serve as a representative of HRE at Orientation Admissions events.

  • Engage in opportunities for professional development and continuous learning.

  • Serve as Essential Personnel.

  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

A master's degree from an accredited institution in an appropriate area of specialization and two years of appropriate experience; or a bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in an appropriate area of specialization and four years of appropriate experience required.

Demonstrated ability to work independently, prioritize work, and independently manage multiple, diverse and competing priorities while meeting deadlines.

Experience with database management, word processing, and spreadsheets and programming experience preferred.

Good customer service skills.

Ability to communicate effectively.

Demonstrate effective communication and problem solving.

Preferred Skills/Qualifications:

Experience working in a university setting.

Experience working with StarRez or a similar housing occupancy management software program.

Salary:

$65,000 - $70,000 per year.
