Montgomery County Community College Part-time Career Coach (Temporary, Grant-Funded) in Blue Bell, Pennsylvania

Montgomery County Community College invites applications for the Part-time Career Coach (Temporary, Grant-Funded) position.  The Part-time Career Coach supports student retention, progression to graduation and alumni career success by assisting students with identifying career goals, developing leadership skills and planning career moves as related to academic progression; fostering strong and mutually rewarding partnerships with industry, training, and community partners. Hours: 15-25 hours per week. Must be available to work day, evening and weekend hours, including off-site locations.

*This position is contingent upon grant-funding with an expected end date of  12/31/2026.

This position has been approved for a flexible work option arrangement. Flexible work options can be ended at any time by the College, Cabinet, and/or supervisors based on employee performance and/or as institutional needs change.**

*This position has college-wide responsibilities and requires travel between all campuses and off-site locations but will be based at the Blue Bell campus.**

 

QUALIFCATIONS:

  • Bachelors degree in Counseling, Social Work, Education, Psychology or other related field (Master's degree preferred)
  • 1-3 years previous career or employment work experience.
  • Proven technology skills, including using technology in program delivery.
  • Organizational and communication skills
  • Demonstrated commitment to work with diverse populations, such as under-resourced groups and first-generation students.
  • Demonstrated understanding of and commitment to a comprehensive community college philosophy.
