Montgomery County Community College Full-time Custodian - 2nd Shift in Blue Bell, Pennsylvania

Montgomery County Community College invites applications for the Full-time Custodian -- 2nd shift position. The Custodian is to maintain a clean and sanitary environment at the College.

Schedule: 2nd shift; 3:00pm to 11:30pm; 40 hours per week (Blue Bell campus)

*This position requires a pre-employment drug screening test as a condition of employment.

Must have a valid driver's license**

 

ESSENTIAL KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:

1. Education/Training/Work Experience:

• High school diploma, GED, or 1-2 years' experience required

• Valid PA Driver's License required

 

2. Specialized Knowledge & Skills:

• Must be physically capable of performing all duties on job description

• Must be able to communicate effectively

3. Additional Information Required:

• Ability to read, write, and follow routine instructions

• Ability to work within a team-oriented setting

 

4. Physical Requirements:

• Functions as part of the emergency response team and is expected to work when the College is closed, for emergencies.

• Must be able to lift trash containers weighing up to 30 pounds and deposit bags in larger trash container on trash cart.

• Must be able to perform bending, stretching, kneeling repetitive movements such as those involved in sweeping, vacuuming, dusting, polishing, washing walls & chalkboards, cleaning/sanitizing restrooms, or shoveling snow.

• Must be able to perform repeated bending of knees and kneeling for extended periods of time while removing accumulated buildup from baseboards and edges of walls and floors.

• Must be able to perform repeated climbing and balancing on ladders for extended periods of time while changing lights, high-dusting ball lights, window ledges, etc.

• Must be able to push & pull and lift & carry for extended periods of time while delivering and moving equipment and supplies.
