Geisinger System Services Principal Enterprise Architect in Bloomsburg, Pennsylvania

Principal Enterprise Architect sought by Geisinger System Services in Bloomsburg, PA to lead Enterprise Architecture team. REQ: Bachelor's, or for. equiv, in Info Systems, Comp. Sci., Engg. (any), or a rel field plus 10 yrs of exp. in S&I framework in HIE platform; and 10 yrs of exp in designing and developing enterprise scale app. architecture to meet business requirements using standards incl. HL7, CDA & IHE profiles. Must have at least 5 yrs of exp in large scale system integrations & 5 yrs of exp in security, risk and compliance frameworks, disaster recovery, high availability architecture and networking connectivity. Position allows up to 20% remote work.

Responsible for the daily operations of the Enterprise Architecture team and interfacing across all departments. Involved in all aspects of the project lifecycle, from initiation through requirements analysis, design, and implementation. Identify major system interfaces, business capabilities, needs, and existing architecture weaknesses and opportunities. Review domaintechnical and business discussions relative to future architecture direction. Design standard configuration and patterns; promote the Enterprise Architect process, outcomes, and results; and develop and improve domain's architecture government process. Review exceptions and make recommendations to architectural standards at a domain and program level; perform ongoing architecture quality review; and provide strategic consultation to clients and IT teams. Consult on Institute-facing projects and track their progress, and research and evaluate emerging technology, industry, and market trends to assist in project development and operational support activities. Advise on options, risks, costs versus benefits, system impacts and technology priorities and provide recommendations based on business relevance, appropriate timing and deployment. Maintain budgets on expenditures based on the size, scope and costof hardware and software components, and mentor and coach junior team members and promote a team environment between members. Position allows for up to 20% remote work.
