DESCRIPTION OF WORK The Social Service Aid 1 (SSA1) will be under the direct supervision of the County Mental Health Program Specialist 1, who is the director of peer services within CMSU. The SSA1 will provide coordination of CMSU's Social Rehabilitation program known as The Outlook. Outlook attendees would consist of consumers with serious and persistent mental illness meeting the eligibility criteria for such service and voluntarily agreeing to participate in this program. These consumers will be enrolled in CMSU Base Service Unit and will reside within the four-county catchment area. This position requires knowledge of both normal and abnormal human behavior and development and the ability to effectively interact with consumers and other professionals in a social rehabilitation setting.  Additionally, both oral and written communication skills are essential.  The SSA1 is expected to exercise good judgment in the performance of all duties.

Graduation from high school; or Any equivalent combination of training and experience. Other Requirements:
