Actalent Senior Mechanical Engineer in Bloomington, Minnesota

Job Title: Senior Mechanical EngineerJob Description

Seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer with 8+ years of experience and a P.E. license. The ideal candidate will have a robust background in mechanical engineering, particularly within the industrial and food and beverage sectors. Responsibilities include managing and mentoring junior team members, driving project completion efficiently, and ensuring adherence to engineering principles, procedures, and code requirements. This role involves utilizing skills in Revit, Plant 3D, and AutoCAD, and a deep understanding of mechanical systems and theories.

Hard Skills

  • P.E. License

  • Experience with Revit, Plant 3D, and AutoCAD

  • Engineering calculations

  • Cost estimation

  • Refrigeration design/calculations

  • Knowledge of mechanical systems (hydronics, steam, compressed air, refrigeration, natural gas, high-pressure water)

Soft Skills

  • Ability to manage and mentor

  • Independent judgement

  • Timely project completion

  • Leadership potential

Job Type

This is a Contract-to-Hire position with a duration of 12 Month(s).

Work Site

This is a hybrid position requiring some days on-site in Bloomington, Minnesota and some days remote.

Work Environment

Offers a very flexible work environment with the possibility to mostly work remotely after initial settling in. Leadership opportunities are available for candidates demonstrating capability in team leadership.
