The Otis Service Center in Bloomfield, CT has an opening for a Fixtures Customer Service Representative. The ideal candidate will be responsible for handling and assisting in multiple customer support roles, specializing in providing technical solutions to Otis branch personnel. The position is a critical touch point between the Otis branch offices and Otis Service Center colleagues that support multiple lines of the business. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required.

On a typical day you will:

  • Continuous support for incoming daily customer service requirements; including new orders, pricing support, order status, and tracking.

  • Lead the coordination of returns, repairs, and reworks as identified by Otis branches to support job installation requirements.

  • Actively engage engineering and manufacturing to support Otis branch needs for technical solutions on the Otis fixtures offering.

  • Provide estimating and ordering support for the Unitec and New Equipment business lines of fixtures manufacturing.

  • Additional Material & Time (AMT) support for the Florence CLC.

  • Understanding and training of the fixtures ordering process to support branch sales reps.

  • Support of the Fixtures phone hotline.

  • Support of the department lean objectives, including but not limited to continuous updating of standard work processes.

  • Participation in conference calls with Otis branch offices to support the Modernization CLC on fixtures questions.

  • Adhere to the OTIS ABSOULTES: Safety, Ethics, and Quality

What You Will Need to be Successful :

  • High School Degree with 3-5+ years’ experience in a Customer Service/Manufacturing support roles or equivalent.

  • College degree in Business Administration or Business Management preferred, in lieu of work experience.

  • Demonstrated organizational, inter-personal and excellent analytical skills.

  • The ability to work as both an individual contributor and in a team environment

  • Excellent verbal, communication and customer service skills are a must.

  • A working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel is required.
