Mushroom Growing Supervisor (Giorgi Mushroom Company) (Blandon, PA): Controlling the growing process, including: Making growing-room temperature decisions, moisture and crop timing decisions, adjusting carbon dioxide to meet our standards, and recognizing and making decisions based on aspects of individual rooms; Auditing, training, and managing work teams ensuring procedural standards are followed and that they work in a cost-effective manner; Work in conjunction with EHS Team to assure a safe working environment; Reviewing and maintaining budgets, records and other documentation; Present regularly to management on KPI's in the department; and Participate in meetings and trainings such as daily and weekly department briefings to management and industry conferences. In order to complete the above-mentioned tasks, the following skills and experience are required: Knowledge of the science of mushroom farming; Experience engaging in the good agricultural practices required when handling food for human consumption; Experience in supervision and management of personnel; Experience summarizing and presenting department activities and performance to management; and Experience following strict process control. Requires a Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Biology, Mycology, Chemistry, Physics, Agricultural Engineering or related field, and at least one year of experience as an Agriculturist or related occupation.
