Kelly Services Substitute Clerical Position in Blakely, Georgia

Job Description

Schedule and Pay:

The clerical person will make $8.73 per hour. 8 hours per day for 230 days

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assumes all duties and responsibilities of the school clerical position

  • Consults with the principal and/or staff to resolve questions and/or concerns.

  • Complies with all building procedures and schedules..

  • Develops and maintains a positive learning environment.

  • Works cooperatively with staff

  • Incorporates the effective use of available technology

  • Upholds computer technology acceptable use policies

  • Respects personal privacy. Maintains the confidentiality of privileged information.

  • Take precautions to ensure/staff student safety.

  • Supervises non-classroom duties when assigned

  • Accepts personal responsibility for decisions and conduct

  • Performs other specific job-related duties as directed.

  • Remain flexible and willing to complete duties unrelated to original position

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Ability to follow both oral and written directions and instructions.

  • Ability to communicate in both oral and written means.

  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to students and staff

  • Ability to handle stressful situations

  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of student matters

  • Ability to effectively manage time and responsibilities

  • Ability to be professional in appearance, attitude and demeanor.

  • Ability to lift, sit, or stand for long periods of time

Special Requirements:

  • Candidate must be able to use the AESOP online system

  • Pass a criminal background check and reference check

  • Review and understand the substitute handbook

Physical Demands:

While performing the duties of this job, the substitute rarely performs routine work. The substitute frequently exercises flexibility (ability to shift from one task to another). The substitute frequently works within time constraints and maintains attentiveness intensity. The substitute is frequently involved in social interactions which require great oral and written communications. The substitute frequently will have to walk, stand, and move to fulfill the essential functions of this position.
