Job Title: Machinist
Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Machinist who can set up and operate CNC Mills and CNC Lathes, utilize micrometers and calipers to measure wheels, and read and interpret blueprints to ensure accurate machining of products to tolerance. The ideal candidate will also be responsible for replacing worn inserts, drills, or tooling, adjusting feed/speed rates, and completing work assignments and associated reports in a timely manner.
Responsibilities
Set up and operate CNC Mills and CNC Lathes.
Utilize micrometers and calipers to measure wheels for machining.
Read and interpret blueprints to machine products to tolerance.
Replace worn inserts, drills, or tooling, and adjust feed/speed rates.
Complete work assignments and associated reports promptly.
Verify machine components with measuring instruments to ensure parts are within tolerances.
Operate powered industrial forklift and crane hoist to transfer and position materials as needed.
Essential Skills
Experience with CNC machine operation.
Proficiency in using lathes and mills.
Skill in reading blueprints and using calipers.
Ability to measure and verify components accurately.
2-3 years of experience in mechanics or machining.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Degree from a technical school for machining is preferred.
1 year of experience using micrometers.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $37440.00 - $45760.00/yr.
