CTG Projects Information Manager in Blaine, Washington

Description

CTG has an open position for Projects Information Manager (PIM) to join our Information Management Support team in Blaine, WA.

Position Summary

The Projects Information Management (PIM) role will serve as a point of coordination for project managers. The primary role of the PIM is to ensure project information meet requirements and Information Management standards. In support of the project team, the PIM may act as a liaison between Information Management Services and the project and contractor teams. Responsible for transfer and handover of information in a way that conforms and complies with client operational standards at specific delivery milestones. Assistance and support will be provided to the project team across the project lifecycle, managing the documentation used by a project as they work with contractors.

Essential Functions and Key Accountabilities

  • Performs the role of liaison between Information Management Services and the project team and the contractor teams

  • Assist with communication of project information management requirements and processes to project teams and contractors

  • Expedite late and missing handover of Issued for Construction (IFC) files

  • Assures receipt, QA and file management of engineering, procurement, supplier, construction, and project engineering documentation

  • Processes storage and filing of engineering project documents in electronic format.

  • Assist with quality audits on documents, drawings, ensuring that all appropriate Cherry Point IM practices, procedures and guidelines are followed.

  • Assists with the preparation of the documents for final archiving/transfer to Refinery

  • Coordinates correction of discrepancies

  • Maintains project Master Document List (MDL) per construction work package information

  • Maintain Request for Information (RFI)’s references in MDL and file RFI redlines in ALIM (EDMS System)

  • Meet with construction contractors periodically to review MDL and assure current revisions are in use and assure bootlegging of construction drawings is not being practiced

  • Conduct research of refinery drawings and documents as needed

  • Assist with identification and resolution of non-conformance

  • Assist with Movement of Fixed Asset (MOFA) submittals and IMS Equipment closeouts

  • Where required, attend team meetings

  • Flexibility and team cooperation including filling in and/or assisting co-workers with heavy workloads as needed

Education

  • High school diploma required

  • Associate’s degree preferred

  • Bachelor’s degree helpful

Experience

  • 5 years’ experience Project Engineering Document Control experience preferred

  • Experience performing data entry within an electronic data management system (EDMS)

Required Skills / Competencies

  • High proficiency in computer utilizing Windows operating systems

  • Ability to work within an electronic data management system

  • Experience in auditing electronic documents to ensure they contain accurate revisions, states, dates, attributes and are numbered correctly

  • Ability to identify different types of engineering information and have knowledge of their use

  • Experienced in MS Office 365 applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and SharePoint)

  • Experienced in Adobe Acrobat Professional

  • Reliable performance and attendance

  • Professional and efficient Team Player who enjoys working with people (internal and external team members, contractors and third-party vendors)

  • Excellent written and verbal skills

  • Flexible in handling assignments and schedules

  • Management of time to meet deadlines (Strong organizational skills)

  • Multitasking and problem-solving abilities (Task oriented)

  • Ability to understand requirements and communicate openly and clearly with all members of the team

  • Ability to cope with stressful situations

  • Adherence to the CTG and client Codes of Conduct

Physical Demands

  • Able to handle the movement of papers, packages and books weighing up to 5 lbs.

Excellent verbal and written English communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group are required.

The expected base salary for this position ranges from $52,000 to $95,000. Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, market factors, and where applicable, licensure or certifications obtained. In addition to salary, a competitive benefit package is also offered.
