Job Title: AccountantJob Description
The role of the Accountant involves maintaining and managing financial records, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulations, and contributing to the company's continuous improvement efforts.
Responsibilities
Maintain the Fixed Asset sub-ledger, including all additions and disposals, and manage related accumulated depreciation.
Reconcile Prepaid and Accrual accounts, researching and resolving all variances.
Reconcile Current and Long-term debt accounts and maintain supporting schedules.
Prepare Sales tax and Federal Excise tax returns, in addition to reconciling related Balance Sheet accounts.
Analyze monthly expense account trends and provide detailed variance explanations.
Assist with external and bank audits.
Participate in efforts to continuously improve Safety, 6S, Quality, and Delivery.
Essential Skills
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting with 4-7 years of experience, or equivalent experience, education, and/or training.
Experience with ERP or other business systems.
Superior analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to manage multiple projects, set priorities, identify and address problems, meet deadlines, and stay within budget.
Strong computer software and Excel experience.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Capability to supervise and guide lower-level accountants.
Work Environment
This position is based at the corporate headquarters of a firearms manufacturer. The environment is professional and fast-paced, requiring attention to detail and a focus on safety and quality.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $38.00 - $39.00/hr.
