Compensation Amount: 15.00 USD Hourly Job Summary: Assists with the planning of mountain bike programs designed for the mountain bike guests at Giants Ridge. Supervises participants and ensures their safety and well-being. Communicates effectively and works cooperatively with participants, families, and supervisors. Job Description: ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS * Assists the Recreation Program Director with planning, facilitating and leading a variety of cycling: activities; games; lessons; and rides. * Ensures the enjoyment and safety of all participants by maintaining the program site, implementing safe practices and leading well organized activities. * Uses creativity and ingenuity to develop a variety of activities, games, lessons, and ride routes. * Reports on the results of planned activities, and operational concerns. * Ensure that daily programs meet the general needs of participants, by making any reasonable accommodations specific to guests as necessary. * Performs other related duties as required. SKILL AND KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS INCLUDE * Excellent technical skill sets: cycling and or mountain biking. * Demonstrates leadership abilities; and the ability to work independently. * Demonstrates excellent customer service and interpersonal skills. * Participates in on-going job specific trainings including safety trainings. * PMBIA, NCCP or similar cycling specific training, preferred but not required. PHYSICAL AND MENTAL REQUIREMENTS * Ability to maintain a high degree of enthusiasm and personal motivation. * Ability to walk/bike mountain terrain for up to 8 hours in variable conditions. * Lifting, carrying, and pushing up to 25 lbs. regularly, 30-35 lbs. frequently, and up to 50 lbs. occasionally * Bend, lift, carry, reach/extend arms and hands above shoulder height frequently, or otherwise moves in a constantly changing environment.
